Heh, yeah—this is one heckuva monster, if it pans-out as intended. Guts are standard fare: film and electro caps, carbon film resistors.

If I’m reading that correctly, and I’d like to pretend that I am, that wouldn’t color the tone so much as completely annihilate it. What kind of resistors and caps are we talking about?
