Man, what a show! Hands-down, last night's Metallica concert is one of the top 5 concerts I've been to. The guys were running on all cylinders the entire 2 hours — and they did us old school Met Fans a solid by reaching back to the the Kill 'em All days, even. All in all, it was a great balance of the new material, mixed with the good ol' classic Metallica — and the light show was totally sweet, too.
I brought my secondary camera, but they weren't allowing them in the Center — so all my pics are with my iPhone. I probably could have snuck it in, but we were so close to the stage (row 8), the Monitors would have been able to see me, easily. Oh well. Here are a few pics:
The boys still have, people! LONG LIVE METALLICA!

Looks like a blast…pyro and lasers are always a good thing!
iPhone pics? WOW!! That almost sounds impossible…. the exposure is not brutal, the noise is not bad, and there’s virtually no motion blur…. Were you using a different app for taking the pictures or just the regular built-in Camera app?
Great seats — yes!
And these pics are stock iPhone pics — nothing extra.
What I’m digging is all the other people using camera phones too.

Wow! Those were FANTASTIC seats. You can’t get much closer to the band than THAT. Even better than the “in the round” they did in ‘97.
